Now: Inbound Shipping Options on TiVo Repairs

One of the biggest hurdles with having WeaKnees repair your TiVo is that you have to send the unit to us. So we’re making that part easier.

When you order a TiVo repair at WeaKnees, you’ll now have three options for how to get your unit to us:

  • You deal with it – you box it and bring it to a shipping outlet.
  • We email you a prepaid UPS label. You box the TiVo and use our label, which can be given to any UPS store or driver.
  • We send you a packing box with foam inserts and a prepaid UPS return label.

We hope we’ve removed a potential obstacle to getting your TiVo repaired. If you have lifetime service, it’s ALWAYS worthwhile to get your TiVo repaired and keep using it.

More Lifetime TiVos in Stock

From time to time we come into possession of TiVo DVRs that already have lifetime subscriptions. So you can buy one, and never pay a monthly fee on the unit.

Further, TiVo charges $399.99 to $499.99 for the lifetime service alone. So these units are a great deal, especially for a new TiVo user who would be at the $499.99 price point.

DIRECTV C31 Now In Stock!

DIRECTV has been promoting their new Genie system pretty heavily. The Genie is essentially one HR34 HMC (we’ve got those in stock also) and one to three C31 clients.

The C31 is a nice, small unit that was designed to work only with an HR34. It uses the tuners and storage of the HR34.

Since it does so little on-board, the actual component is extremely small – great for mounting behind a flat-screen TV.

TiVo Stream is in Stock and Shipping!

Just a quick note to say that we have the TiVo Stream here in our warehouse and it’s shipping starting today.

We’ll have more info on the device once we use it a bit more, but, in short, it allows you to stream or copy video from a Premiere to an iOS device, like an iPhone or iPad. Copying requires that there is no content protection on the original recording.

The TiVo Stream has only two ports: Ethernet and power. And it requires that the Premiere (any flavor) be connected via a hardwire to the same network.

TiVo Premiere4 DVR is Out! 4 Tuners, Starting at $249.99

There’s a new Premiere model out, and it’s the TiVo Premiere4.

There are now four different models of TiVo Premiere (and we sell them all). But this makes the landscape a little confusing.

The TiVo Premiere4 DVR can record up to four channels at once, all from digital cable, and all with one CableCARD. It comes with a 500 GB drive, and we have larger versions ready to go with up to 2 TB of space internally, or even 4 TB of space if you don’t mind having an external drive in the mix.

This unit comes standard with an HDMI cable and a TiVo Peanut Remote. It’s compatible with the TiVo Slide Remote, various Wifi adapters, and, of course, all of the great phone and tablet apps.
