Here’s an unusual one: a TiVo arrived in our warehouse recently with a fine white dust inside. The owner of the unit, who dropped it off, told us that he keeps the TiVo near his pet bird, and to expect some dust inside.

We’ve seen a lot of things inside a TiVo, but this is a first. Better than bugs, of course.
While the date is still an expectation and not a guarantee, we think it’s accurate. So if you’ve been holding off on ordering a new THR22 DirecTV TiVo because you didn’t know when we’d have them, now is the time to order!

This one was pretty amazing. The box was more than half empty, and yet, the box wasn’t crushed.
When I opened it, I assumed that the “cushioning material” was a big air bubble that had collapsed during shipping, but no, it was the package from the one layer of bubble wrap surrounding the TiVo.
Good thing this didn’t go via USPS – they would have absolutely destroyed it.
