This customer was really considerate when he sent in his unit. He clearly didn’t have enough peanuts, so he re-used some recyclable material for the remainder of the padding.

Feel free to leave some full ones in there when you’re packing up your TiVo for a WeaKnees repair.
Yesterday marked the last day of a WeaKnees employee who is moving on to smokier places. Longtime WeaKnees-er Max Power is bringing his tenure here to an end, in search of the holy BBQ.
If you’ve called us, chatted online with us, or sent your TiVo in for repair, you’ve probably come into contact with Max Power at some point. From here on through, if you want to come into contact with him, you’ll have to order up a rack of ribs, because he’s a rack-man now.
Max has been working on perfecting his skills with the BBQ smoker for several years now, and he’s going full speed ahead on his catering business, Max City BBQ. If you’re looking for smoked ribs, smoked brisket, his specialty (and our favorite) pulled pork, you can do no better this side of the New Mexico, than Max City BBQ. Guaranteed. Max has been generously feeding us here for years, and we can’t get enough. Beyond the smoked meats, he’s got a very, very solid array of sides and desserts including mac’n’cheese, baked beans, and a key lime pie that, alone, would be worthy of a side business.
To find Max, and get him to make any party into a hit, use the link above or find his LA BBQ catering Yelp info.
Max – keep in touch! We wish you the best!
Last week, we added a search feature to our site. It’s based on Google’s Custom Search Engine application. Being a Google product, it’s pretty sophisticated, and while we’re still tweaking it, we’re pretty happy with it so far.
Ironically, as I write this blog post, I realize that the first blog post we wrote on here was about a new search feature we had added. We did use that for a while, but eventually we decided that it was hurting more than helping – delivering results that were more frustrating than useful.
But we’ve revisited the issue, found the Google app with reasonable pricing, and so we’re trying it again. Please tell us what you think!
