We’ve had many inquiries about extra remotes for the new DIRECTV HD DVR TiVo THR22. You can now get on the pre-order list for these remotes on this DIRECTV remote page.
You might wonder why it’s on the page with the generic DIRECTV remotes and there’s a good reason: it’s compatible with those remotes. That means two things:
- The other remotes on that page will also work with the THR22 TiVo.
- But more importantly, the THR22 remote will work with many, many other HD DVRs from DIRECTV, including the HR20, HR21, HR22, HR23, HR24, HR21Pro, and HR34.
So if you’re one of the many people who, over the years, moved away from TiVo DVRs to the other DIRECTV DVRs, but still like the TiVo peanut remote style, you’re in luck! This remote will work your unit, so you get all of the features that the other DVRs have that the TiVo doesn’t currently have, but you also get the best, most intuitive remote around.
