Okay, thats all fine and dandy, but, what happens to all the programs, info, etc. on the internal drive?? I wouldn’t exactly call this a backup drive if your disconnecting the internal one….
Well, it’s a “replace” kit in the same sense that every “replace” kit on our site doesn’t carry over the data, unless you get our Deluxe Professional Upgrade service, where we copy over the data.
So you can send us your unit and have us copy your internal drive’s contents to the external backup drive. Then you have backup, with your original data.
Shouldn’t you have unplugged the power from the old unused internal drive? Otherwise it will be left powered up unnecessarily.
